Finally, it is not always easy to find a brand that dares, and for good reason, stocks are expensive and production requires minimum quantities.

So the brands, afraid to change the market, hang on to their catalogue with its hundred or so products, 10 of which are top products, 25 good products, 50 "good we complete our range" and 10 "Gee, what do we do with this now", the latter ending up in the warehouses for a few years.

So the routine is done, we change a maximum of ten products, because we won't make a revolution. Given that there are 5 producers who count, the year we have 50 new products is Champagne!  

Well, that's all in the past, KlassFan has just shaken up the codes, and for a long time, because their way of seeing ceiling ventilation, has just kicked the butt of the peeps who have been hanging around for a while.  

For KlassFan, it is the product that must adapt to the customer and not the other way round, so let's see what changes.

The principle of the modulo is to be able to combine elements to give the customer a maximum of choice.

The modulo is composed of 4 families of elements that you can combine:

1) The engine. 

- There are 4 colours: Chrome, White, Basalt Grey, Wood.

2) The blades.

- There are 4 types of blades, each with 3 colours: white, black, wood.

3) The lighted and unlighted kits.

- 4 completely incredible light kits each with 4 colours corresponding to the chosen motor (or not if you wish) 

- 7 Caches in case you don't want a light kit. 

4) Extenders.

- In 4 colours corresponding to the engine, in versions - 60 Cm - 120 Cm and 180 Cm.

5) The controls. 

- The original remote control.

- The remote control with thermostat trigger.

- The wall control box 

If we look closely at the possibilities of unlikely combinations, this gives some amazing figures 4 (Motors) X 4 types of blades = 16 Combinations (in 3 blades) we can go in 2 blades too, that is 32 possibilities, with 3 colours of blades that is 96 possibilities.

Add to this 5 possibilities of illumination = 480 possibilities, with 5 extenders we are at . 2400 possibilities !

In short, this gives an amazing range of choice. I can already hear the most critical saying, but we are not going to mix a wood engine with black blades!

But let's take a closer look at what makes this Modulo so special.

Let's start with the most important element:

The engine:

Klassan's specifications were not simple, they needed an engine that was able to carry blades from 110 Cm to 132 Cm.

Furthermore, this same motor had to be able to adapt whether the user installed 2 blades or 3 blades.

This motor had to be a DC motor, with low power consumption, and above all a Hyper Silence motor.

With their expertise, the engineers succeeded in developing a motor marvel, the Rolls of motor for ceiling fans.  

Mechanical technology:

Mounted on self-lubricated ball bearings, this 100% copper motor is a model of silence. At no load, this motor at maximum speed is inaudible, it does not emit any vibrations, just the rotor turns. 

Moreover, it is self-balancing, which is very good news for the installation, clearly without this option we would have had to forget about the 120 and 180 cm extensions. 

Finally, the fan is fixed to the ceiling on a ball-and-socket joint, so it will accept 25° differences in height.

Consumption :

What about consumption? Klassfan has done a great job here, this motor is among the TOP 3 in terms of power consumption, and with a certain combination of TOP 1 blades on speed 5 and 6. 

At speed 1, the Modulo consumes 5.1 Watts and at speed 6 on the P3 blades it consumes 25.6 Watts without stealing efficiency because at this speed the fan runs at 193 RPM, and about 10800 M3/h which is clearly the lowest consumption on the market.

Features :

The latest technology has been adapted to this motor, it has the Memory functions.  Here again a big plus, the Memory function is adapted to ALL the functions, Light, programmed speeds and direction of rotation, which is unprecedented. 

 The Memory function consists of turning off the fan's power switch and returning to the same programming as when it was turned off.

In everyday life, this function is very practical, because when you enter your room, if you had the light on when you turned it off, pressing the switch will turn on the light, and this works with all the combined functions, fan + light, light only, fan only, in short all the functions.

Blades:

One of the key elements of the fan, there are 4 types of blades.

For reasons of stability, and especially design, these blades could not be made of wood. They would have been too heavy, and over time the wood can evolve and thus unbalance the fan, causing it to become unbalanced and wear out prematurely.  

On this point, the engineers were ultra-cautious and opted for moulded ABS blades. The advantage of ABS is that if the mould is well worked, the differences between two blades are minimal, and this is exactly what the KlassFan engineers were looking for.

Klassfan's specifications are simple - there can only be 1 gram of difference between the three blades. If a blade exceeds this, it does not pass the assembly. 

This is very important, because cheap mid-range fans have between 1 and 3 grams of difference between each blade, if you have 5 blades, you can have 15 grams of difference between the blades, obviously your fan will vibrate and make noise. 

Klassfan's concern here is to eliminate vibration, so everything that affects the balance of the fan is scrutinised, and there is plenty to go around.

The size of the blade mounting holes, the quality of the screws and even the washers are all weighed up to ensure that the fan is balanced, just like our car wheels.

Abs was the obvious technology for the design of the Modulo blades.

The blades were created in a wind tunnel, like the P1 and P2 which in speed 1, 2 and 3 are discrete and increase their efficiency by 30% in speed 4, 5 and 6 they react like aircraft wings,
