Yoga is a nice surprise of the year 2020. Indeed, ceiling fan manufacturers had not had an original idea for a long time.
Ygao is a ceiling fan that has several interests, technical but also aesthetic.
Built around a low consumption DC motor has good efficiency since it consumes from 9.5 to 57 Watts.
Yoga is still a fan, something has to turn. So it's the whole fan that turns. But how does it work?
In fact, the principle of a fan is to have blades (or other) that draws air, and pushes it back, the larger the blades are, so the larger the surface area of reach is, the more air is pushed back, so in movement.
Yoga, zenn does the same thing, instead of having blades, it has fins, more than 70, which take in the air in the center of the fan and push it back laterally.
The shape of the blades is important because it allows the air to be returned at about 50° downwards around the fan.
The advantage is that visually we have more to do with a chandelier design, than with a ceiling fan, so all the phobiacs of the blade will be happy, because here they won't have a single one. (if they come on this site of course)
Technically, we can consider that this fan has a much wider diffusion than a classical ceiling fan, which is already a point to consider.
Moreover, you can "stick" it to the ceiling you will have a very good air diffusion because this 50° angle is indeed wider than a classic ceiling fan. Yoga can also be installed with a 15 Cm rod.
So if you have a light point in the middle of a room, and you have a sofa on one side, and a table on the other, and in between this fan, you are ideal for you.
In children's rooms, often you have a central light point, and a bed that's completely offset, and if it's a high bed, installing this fan is the great luxury, you provide ventilation on the upper part of the bed.
On the other hand, if you want to have air just underneath, forget it, because you have a "shadow zone" which is the air absorption zone of about 2 meters, you may sweat just underneath ... You just have to know that.
As for the light point, they made very strong, with a light point, three tones of 24 Watts, but also a side ring at this light point that also lights up, it consumes 10 watts. Frankly, the effect is simply sumptuous.
Question noise pollution, we are not yet at the top of what is done, the motor is a DC very well balanced, but it makes the whole thing turn quite quickly, so al nuisance of the fins is it more important than average. So we are between a ceiling fan, and a normal fan. The first speed is at 40 dB(a), and the last at 50 dB(a).
The airflow of Yoga is much better than a small fan, this one is 73 Cm, we should not forget that, if we compare it to fans up to 106 Cm, then Yoga wins hands down the airflow power.
Yoga is also a super destratifier for small areas of approx. 40 m², because it is equipped with the thermostat function.
To conclude, Yoga is a ventilation tool to consider, it can not be a systematic choice but in cases of :
- Low ceiling.
- Bed or area to be covered with no electrical supply just above.
- For a phobia of the blades :)
- If you want an original product.
