Rafy 170  is a great alternative to conventional air conditioners because it does not dry out the air. However, it can only decrease the temperature at 5 °C . It stands somewhere between a fan and an air conditioner. Rafy 170 is 170 cm high and is speciallz designed for extra large areas from 70-110 sqm.

Rafy 170 consumes 350 Watts only, which is not that much compared with an air conditioner (even the best ones consume 800 Watts).

The effect produced by the Rafy is relaxing and cool, in fact it is similar to a sea breeze because it cools the air by evaporation.

The Rafy principle is adiabatic. Adiabatic is the effect caused by the evaporation of water under the effect of heat.

The advantage of this technique is twofold: it lowers the temperature and it filters the air particles: pollen, dust, and other air contaminators.

Compared to air conditioners, the coolers are quieter because they do not have compressors and you can keep the window open. Besides, it humidifies the air and therefore they are particularly recommendable for sensitive people.

Nevertheless, this product is not to be used in humid climates.

Rafy 170 is extremely powerful, with its 4000 M3/h it is 7 times more powerful than a classical air cooler. Besides, Purline opted for a 8 gal tank equipped with a drainage.
