The physical principle of misting is quite similar to the one of the refresher.

The idea is to use water to absorb the calories (heat) from the air.

How does it work ?

The "old foggers"used pressure of compressor on water that passed through a water circuit and went out through nozzles.

These nozzles are equipped with orifices of 0.2 mm to 0.1 mm. The water comes out in micro droplets, under the effect of heat, evaporating almost immediately.

The system that creates the droplets of Zephir is not at all the same, here manufacturers use ultrasound to de-molecule the water particle (H2O).
The system is pulled from cold steam humidifiers, which creates a cold fog of micro droplets.
Do not hope to lower the temperature by 10 ° but compared with a fan, you will have 2 to 5 °C less (according to the ambient humidity).
The advantage of the system is that you can use it inside as well as outside. However, do not use it if the temperature is 26 °  - the efficiency will be zero. It needs to be at least 28.

Finally, last advice, wash the tank well and often to remove stagnant water and bacteria. Use vinegar often, because limestone can block the ultrasonic pellet. If you follow these two recommendations, you will have a very cool summer!
